MORE INFO TO FOLLOW:

Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington (CSGW) is proud to host It Takes A Village, a multi-agency event that will target Human Trafficking, Child Pornography, Child Exploitation, Cyber Safety, At Risk Youth & how CSGW can help.

The event will take place Saturday November 18, at Centre Wellington District High School in Fergus, starting at 8:45 a.m. with keynote speaking Charlene E. Doak-Gebauer of Child Pornography Hurts addressing attendees. Following this talk, participants can break off into Adult or Youth focused workshops offered by Guelph Police Service, Wellington County OPP, Victim Services Wellington and Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington.

The topics were selected due to the overwhelming response to the CSGW Human Trafficking campaign launched over the summer. CSGW decided to bring its partnering agencies together to offer a one-day event that would address these prevalent and harmful crimes that are present in our community.

This event is geared for youths 14 years and older, and adults who are parents or work with youths. Due to the nature of the topics, there will be discussion on substance abuse and sexual and physical assault.

It Takes A Village is a free event, however, space is limited and pre registration is required. Go to eventbrite.ca – It Takes A VillageCSGW2017, to secure your space.
