(CITY OF GUELPH) At approximately 1:35am on Monday November 4th 2024, an Uber driver was assaulted on Edinburgh Road South in the City of Guelph.
The Uber driver who was transporting other passengers at the time, pulled over because the vehicle following him flashed their high beams. A male from the other vehicle approached the victim’s car window and after a brief exchange the male victim, who is in his 70’s, was repeatedly assaulted. The male also damaged the victim’s car door by kicking it, leaving a large dent.
The suspect is described as male, possibly east Asian and was wearing a plaid shirt and dark jeans. The vehicle he was driving is described as a black SUV.
