2025 Lights & Sirens

The 2025 Lights & Sirens was another successful community event for Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington (CSGW), Center Wellington Food Back, Wellington County OPP and Centre Wellington Fire Rescue (CWFR).

Centre Wellington Fire Rescue and Wellington County OPP are joined by representatives from CSGW and CW Food Bank at the end of the charity hockey match March 22 to announce that $862 was raised and 171 pounds of food donated to the community organizations.

The event, held at Jefferson Arena in Elora, is the third time these first responders have joined forces to support CSGW and the local food bank. At 1:30 p.m. a family skate saw children and their families take the ice. At 2:30 p.m. the police and fire teams took over.

Wellington Wild (Wellington County OPP) score first early in the first period to get the action started.

Command staff from WCOPP and CWFR were on hand to cheer on their respective teams.

The action wasn’t limited to the ice surface. In the lobby, CW Food Bank, Wellington County OPP, Safe Communities Wellington and CSGW had tables with representatives engaging with community members. In the case of CSGW, Board members sold 50/50 tickets.
