CRIME OF THE WEEK – SEPTEMBER 23, 2024 – Attempted Vehicle Thefts

(CITY OF GUELPH) At 2:37am on Wednesday September 11th 2024, an attempted vehicle theft occurred at a residence located in the area of Kortright Rd W. and Rickson Avenue in Guelph. The male suspect attempted to steal a 2023 Toyota Tundra. The rear passenger window was smashed and the wiring below the steering wheel was ripped out. The suspect got into the passenger side of a dark-coloured sedan, possibly a 2-door BMW and fled the area.

On Thursday September 12th 2024 at 2:00am a second attempted vehicle theft occurred at a residence near Farley Drive and Pine Ridge Drive in Guelph. A 2024 Toyota Tundra was broken into by smashing the side window and the fuse box was ripped out. The suspects are described as two white males in their 20’s, and wearing black hoodies. They were last seen leaving the area in a dark-coloured SUV with a third person driving.
