(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON) At approximately 2:41pm on Wednesday August 9th 2023, a theft occurred from the Canadian Tire store located on Tower Street in Fergus.
Two persons enter the store and fill two shopping carts with numerous items. They then exit the store by way of the rear emergency door to an awaiting vehicle and driver. Among the items stolen was a metal detector, bolt cutters, a pot and pan set, and various tools.
The first suspect is described as male, white, with a medium build, wearing a black jacket with white lettering “Columbia” down the left sleeve, blue jeans, black ball cap and black sunglasses. The second the suspect is described as female, white, with a medium build, dark shoulder length hair, wearing a black cardigan, pink undershirt, black sunglasses, and a grey purse. The vehicle is described as a burgundy-coloured pickup truck. No description available for the driver.
