Understandably the public is concerned regarding COVID-19 and the resulting Quarantine Act.
After consultation with our investigative partners, Guelph Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police, it has been decided that Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington (CSGW) will not handle tips on these matters.
Instead, the public is asked to use one of the following methods of reporting concerning activity;
- A non-essential business is remaining open: call Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Guelph Police Service at 519-824-1212.
- To file a report of non-compliance under the Quarantine Act, contact Public Health Agency of Canada at 1-833-784-4397 or [email protected] .
- To obtain health-related information about COVID-19, contact Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health at 1-800-265-7293 or 519-822-2715.
CSGW continues to take tips on criminal activity, and can be reached toll free at 1-800-222-TIPS or you can provide a webtip at www.csgw.tips. Your information is confidential and CSGW does not subscribe to call display or call tracing.
We hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy during these trying times. We also applaud our investigative partners, medical professionals, front line staff including grocery staff, mail carriers and other essential workers who continue to do their work in spite of some extraordinary circumstances. Thank you for what you do.
We urge residents of the City of Guelph and County of Wellington to #stayhome to reduce the chance of contracting or spreading COVID-19. This will also reduce the burden on our health care system and allow all of us to return to our regular routines sooner.
If you have questions about CSGW, we are still open and able to answer those questions for you. Simply “Contact Us” and we will be able to respond promptly.
Be well.
