(TOWN OF MINTO/TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON) Between June 4- 13th 2022, numerous Pride decorations and flags were destroyed on streets and at schools in the Town of Minto and the Township of Mapleton.
Around 10pm on Saturday June 4th 2022, several Pride ribbons that decorated the light standards on Main St. in Palmerston were damaged. This crime was committed again on Monday June 13th. Also on June 13th, the Pride ribbons that decorated the light standards in Harriston were damaged. Between June 10th-13th 2022 damage was caused to the Pride flags at schools in Drayton, Harriston, and Moorefield. Similar acts took place on June 12th 2022, at a business and at a school in Listowel, Township of North Perth.
