(CITY OF GUELPH) At approximately 4:00pm on Tuesday May 6th, 2025, an attempted theft occurred outside a bank, located near Eramosa Road and Stevenson Street North in Guelph.
The victim had just left the bank and was placing her purse in the car, when she was distracted by a male standing near the back of her vehicle. At which time, a second male entered her car and took the envelope of cash she had just withdrawn. The woman gave chase, and the thief dropped the envelope of cash on the ground.
Both males are described as possibly Middle Eastern, one in his 40’s, about 5’4” tall, with a large belly and wearing a white t-shirt. The second was in his 20’s, about 5’10”, wearing a baseball cap and medical mask. They left the area in a white SUV.
