CSGW Trivia Night Returns to The Grandway

The highly anticipated return of Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington’s (CSGW) Trivia Night at The Grandway Event Centre was a resounding success.

Trivia Night was last held in 2019, and the demand for tickets proved that trivia buffs in Centre Wellington and beyond were keen for its return.

CSGW volunteers offered a 50/50 draw, as well as a grab bag contest for patrons.

Friends of Crime Stoppers Carly and Laura invite guests to check out CSGW information and purchase 50/50 tickets.

Guests were able to purchase food from The Grandway Restaurant and most took advantage of the Friday night menu.

The grab bags were a huge hit. Once players claimed their cards, they were invited to select their mystery prize at the first break in trivia play.

The evening started with a grab bag prize. Guests who had numbered cards qualified to claim a surprise bag during the first break.

Trivia Master Denis Craddock got the evening off to a hilarious start with his turn as Quiz Helmsworth. A rough and ready character whose sense of humour was criminal.

More than 95 guests packed the hall. Some joined Quiz Helmsworth with costumes of their own.

“Senoritas” enjoyed an evening out! The not so elderly contestants include: Natalie Deschamps, Jaime Blenkiron, Ashley Schwantz, Kelsey Hall and Jacklyn Winter.

Prizes for the top three teams were awarded. Congratulations to everyone who took home prize money, as well as everyone who participated in a fun evening out.

Second Prize was claimed by Pat GPT – Sal, Kristen, Pat and Paula, who were congratulated by CSGW Board Chair Dave Elloway (left) and Past Chair Deryck West (right).
