CRIME OF THE WEEK – AUGUST 19, 2024 – Break & Enters

(CITY OF GUELPH) In the morning hours of Friday August 9th 2024, four restaurant break-ins believed to be related, occurred in the City of Guelph.

At 6:30am a restaurant located near Woodlawn Road W. and Imperial Road N. was broken into and a small safe was removed. Around 9:00am a break-in occurred at a restaurant located near Elmira Road N. and Woodlawn Road W. and a quantity of cash was stolen. In both incidents a glass door had been smashed to gain entry.

Two other break-ins occurred at restaurants located in a plaza near Gordon Street and Harvard Road. At 7:45am forced entry was gained to one business by smashing the front window and a small safe was stolen. Entry to a second business was gained by prying open the rear door and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.

The suspect in each incident is described as male, wearing a hoodie, grey track pants, a Louis Vuitton patterned baseball cap, Reebok backpack, gloves, and a face mask.
