Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington (CSGW) has been selected to host the first in-person Ontario Association of Crime Stoppers (OACS) conference since 2019.
OACS is an advisory body that represents 37 Crime Stoppers programs across Ontario.
The conference, last hosted by Windsor & Essex Crime Stoppers in June 2019, is the opportunity for programs to send Board members and program coordinators for training, networking and connection. It features the Annual General Meeting and the Awards Ceremony.
The theme for 2023 is Back To Basics and puts the emphasis on solid education, best practices and engaging with communities. The past few years have been challenging for Crime Stoppers programs, and it is hoped this conference will help get programs back on track.
