If you are enjoying beautiful flowerbeds this summer, it’s likely due to your support of #MayMulchMonth at one of three JL’s Home Hardware locations in Guelph.
The month-long mulch sale, developed to replace the in person mulch sales for the past two years, was a promotion throughout May at all three JL’s locations.
One dollar from every bag of mulch sold was donated to Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington (CSGW) and then owner Andre Belisle topped up the donations with his own. The total amount donated to CSGW was $2,364! Andre was joined by CSGW Board member John Svensson to announce the amount raised.
Fundraising is a crucial component for Crime Stoppers. It allows us to pay Tipster rewards and to the support the program. With limitations during the Pandemic, being creative and modifying fundraising events has been key to the continued success of CSGW.
The Board of Directors wants to thank everyone who came out to the three JL’s locations in Guelph to purchase mulch. They would also like to express their appreciation to Andre and his team at JL’s Home Hardware for their support and efforts to ensure the success of this #MayMulchMonth fundraiser!
