(CITY OF GUELPH) Just before 2:00pm on Wednesday April 27th 2022, a theft occurred at a grocery store, located near Gordon Street and Clair Road West in Guelph. A 71-year-old female was shopping when a male approached her to request her assistance. During the distraction he was able to steal her wallet. He is described as having an olive complexion, glasses, 5’6” tall, with a slim build and wearing a varsity-style navy blue & white jacket with blue jeans.
Later that same day at a different grocery store located near Eramosa Road and Stevenson Street North, a similar incident occurred. A woman in her 60’s was shopping when she too was approached by a male asking for her assistance and while doing so was able to steal her wallet. He is described as white, in his 30’s, 5’5” tall, thin build, brown hair and glasses.
