CRIME OF THE WEEK – JUNE 07 – Attempted Theft

(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) At approximately 11:30am on Friday May 14th 2021, an attempted theft occurred at Zehrs, located in the area of Eramosa Road and Stevenson Street North in Guelph. Three males entered the business and placed products in bags as they walked around the store. As they were leaving the store, one of the males was approached and in turn he dropped the bags and fled. The value of the recovered merchandise is estimated at $1,100.

The male who was stopped is described as middle Eastern, 20-30 years old, black hair, medium build, and was wearing a grey hoodie, and grey sweatpants. All three males got away in an older model, grey Honda Accord which was reported stolen from the Peel Region.
