CRIME OF THE WEEK – FEBRUARY 12 – Two Armed Robberies

(CITY OF GUELPH) At approximately 3:50pm on December 2nd 2020, an armed robbery occurred at a financial institution, located near the intersection of Stone Road West and Edinburgh Road South in the City of Guelph. At approximately 5:20pm on January 8th 2021, a second armed robbery occurred at a bank location on Stone Road West near Scottsdale Drive in Guelph.

In both incidents the suspect brandished a firearm and demanded cash from the employees. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30-40 years of age, 5’6”-5’9” tall, medium build. He was carrying a black backpack in the December incident and had a tan coloured backpack in the second incident.
