Bucket Sale Earns $820.25 for CSGW

Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington (CSGW) and Young’s Home Hardware in Mount Forest have announced the funds raised at the 2019 Bucket Sale, $820.25!

CSGW Vice Chair Deryck West and Young’s Home Hardware Owner Marty Young announce the amount raised at the 2019 Award Winning Bucket Sale.

The sale, held November 30, has become an annual event. Young’s Home Hardware donates Home Hardware buckets to CSGW which in turn are offered to customers for a minimum donation of $5 each. The buckets then qualify the shoppers for a 20 per cent discount of items in the store that were not already on sale, or fell under an exclusion.

Shoppers eagerly took advantage of the incentive and found items that fit in their buckets.

Board members (from left) Dennis Craven, Deryck West and Dave Elloway greeted customers at the entrance to Young’s Home Hardware.

The Bucket Sale was recognized in June 2019 by the Ontario Association of Crime Stoppers for being the outstanding fundraising concept of the year.

Thank you to Marty Young, the Young’s Home Hardware team and of course, the generous customers who contributed to the success of this event!
