Guelph Shredding Raises $1,700+

The sun and supporters were out for the 2018 Guelph Shredding Event, held once again at the Stone Road Mall – former Sears entrance parking lot on September 15th.

Guelph and area residents were lined up to protect themselves from identity theft and to support Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington (CSGW). In addition to raising funds through shredding, CSGW offered program T shirts for sale as well. Some supporters were generous and offered donations to the program above and beyond their $5 per bankers box contribution.

Those on hand for the 2018 Guelph Shredding Event include, from left, Mikey Timothy and Ritnesh Kumar of FileBank, Leesa Keleher – Office Coordinator for CSGW, Marlene Coughlin , John Svensson and Jacob Addison – CSGW Board members, and Corbin Peter, CSGW student volunteer. Thanks to FileBank donating their services, 100% of the proceeds from the Shredding Event can go to CSGW to help pay tipster rewards.

Did you miss the Guelph event? Fear not, there is a second Shredding Event for CSGW, scheduled for October 27 in Mount Forest.

Once again, the cost is $5 per bankers box. All proceeds will go to CSGW and FileBank can provide Certificates of Destruction if needed.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Guelph event, and we look forward to another tremendous response to the Mount Forest in a few weeks!
