CSGW Statistics Marks 20,000 Tips to Program

When it comes to Tips, Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington (CSGW) gets a lot of them.

However, the very week of the 30th Anniversary celebration, CSGW announced it had received its 20,000 tip to the program.

CSGW cannot share information on the specific cases it aids in solving, however, it does use statistics to demonstrate the successes of the program. The statistics date back to 1988 and are updated monthly. The 20,000th tip, however, came in the month of August and came within days of the 30th Anniversary celebration. The monthly total for August will not be updated until after September 1.

Keeping tipsters anonymous, and their information confidential, is the cornerstone of Crime Stoppers. As a smaller program, CSGW is proud to have reached the 20,000 milestone and thanks each and every individual who took the time to provide information that helped lead to an arrest.
