CSGW OPP partner on Human Trafficking & Cyber Safety Presentations in Mount Forest

Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington and Wellington County OPP have been invited to present to the public at Victoria Cross Public School in Mount Forest, to educate about the dangers of Human Trafficking, how Crime Stoppers can help, and how to keep young people mindful of cyber safety.

The presentations, hosted by Victoria Cross Public School Parent Council, in association with North 4 Youth, Wellington North Youth Action Council and Safe Communities, are free and will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday September 19. While many would believe that Human Trafficking “doesn’t happen here”, we know it does, and want to protect and educate youths, their families and support community.

It will be a unique experience with adults and youth seeing the presentations separately, and allowing for engaging, authentic communication about the threat of Human Trafficking, and the realities of communicating in an era of cyber bulling.

The event is open to any adult who may be a parent or family member of a young person, or a coach, teacher or mentor. Content is recommended for an audience of 12+. Seating is limited, so arrive early!

If you are unable to attend, and want to book a presentation for your school community go to our “Contact Us” feature or call 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Presentations are available throughout the City of Guelph and County of Wellington.
