NOVEMBER CRIME OF THE MONTH – Shootings of Two Trumpeter Swans

(TWP. OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) Sometime during the first week of October 2016, a shooting of a Trumpeter Swan took place at Luther Marsh located northeast of Arthur in the Township of Wellington North. At approximately 9:00am on Monday October 10th 2016, a second Trumpeter Swan was shot in the same area of Luther Marsh. These birds are part of a restoration program, and were marked with a metal leg band and two large yellow wing tags.
